“As for next year, RM30mil out of the RM600mil allocated will be awarded to 1,800 Indian entrepreneurs.” He said

“Tekun Nasional has performed very well in channelling the funds. In view of the funds given out this year, I believe Tekun Nasional will achieve its goal of channelling the RM600mil to more entrepreneurs next year,” Ramanan added after attending a meeting at the Tekun Nasional headquarters in Bandar Tasik Selatan here yesterday.

Throughout the period of January to November this year, Tekun Nasional has successfully disbursed RM995.6 million to 45,600 entrepreneurs, with expectations that the total will reach RM1 billion by the end of the year.

Looking ahead to 2024, Ramanan revealed that RM30 million out of the allocated RM600 million will be specifically dedicated to supporting 1,800 Indian entrepreneurs.

Ramanan encouraged aspiring business owners to approach Tekun Nasional for financial assistance, emphasising the reduced documentation requirements. Previously, applicants needed to submit 17 supporting documents, but now, only four are necessary, including the MyKad.
