Bursa Settles On Lack Of Fresh Catalysts Amid Weaker Sentiment At Midday

Bursa Malaysia ended the morning trading session on Boxing Day easier on a lack of fresh catalysts amid weaker sentiment on the regional bourses, a dealer said.

At 12.30pm, the FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) lost 2.12 points to 1,452.26 from last Friday’s close of 1,454.38.

The FBM KLCI opened 0.3 of a point easier at 1,454.08 and moved between 1,451.15 and 1,456.66 throughout Tuesday’s morning trading session after the Christmas break on Monday.

On the broader market, losers surpassed gainers 444 to 290, while 408 counters were unchanged, 1,163 untraded and 15 others suspended.

Turnover stood at 1.63 billion units valued at RM955.27 million.
