Mastercard, Razer Merchant Services Launch Mastercard Click To Pay For Faster Checkout

Mastercard and Razer Merchant Services (RMS) rolled out Mastercard Click to Pay, which enables cardholders to store multiple payment cards for faster and secure online checkout.

Mastercard’s partnership with RMS, a division of Razer Fintech (Razer Inc’s fintech arm), will also allow cardholders to work across devices and browsers, securely.

“(The launch) is timely as an increasing number of Malaysians embrace smart devices, digital wallets, and online shopping as integral parts of their everyday lives,” it said in a statement today (Dec 28).

Through the integration of advanced recognition technology, it allows consumers to use their preferred payment cards, eliminating the need to remember passwords or enter card credentials and shipping address, ensuring a fast and convenient checkout experience.

At the same time, Mastercard Click to Pay provides enhanced security measures to keep transactions secure and safeguard consumers from fraud.

To use Mastercard Click to Pay, users only need to create a single, secure profile to store and access preferred payment cards and checkout in only one click away with the Click to Pay icon at participating merchant sites.

Razer Fintech chief executive officer Lee Li Meng said its ongoing partnership with Mastercard ensures seamless ‘Click to Pay’ integration offering advanced security, smooth, speedy checkout, and an enhanced customer experience for merchants.

“This underscores our commitment to lead in digital payments, providing the convenience needed for success in today’s dynamic e- commerce landscape,” he said.

Meanwhile, Mastercard Malaysia & Brunei country manager Beena Pothen said: “As the world undergoes rapid digital advancements, discerning consumers are seeking enhanced payment solutions that are quick, simple, and safe.

“With this partnership, Mastercard cardholders can shop online without having to type in payment details or remember passwords, while being assured of the security of their payments.

“This also aligns with the evolving digital lifestyle of Malaysians and supports Malaysia’s broader initiative towards a cashless society.”

Multiple merchants within RMS’ network have been enabled to offer Mastercard Click to Pay to consumers, and a few promotions were also carried out for payments made using the method, to commemorate the partnership and launch.

This promotions merchants Golden Screen Cinema, offering users RM5 rebate off movie ticket purchase price until Feb 29, 2024; Nando’s, offering users RM5 rebate off bill with minimum purchase of RM50* and RM10 rebate with minimum purchase of RM80* until Jan 31, 2024; and ZUS Coffee offering users RM3 rebate off purchase price until Feb 28, 2024.
