ICBS 2024 Returns To KL: Expanded Exhibit, Exciting Competitions

The International Café & Beverage Show (ICBS) 2024 is set to make a grand return to the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre from May 23 to 25, offering an expanded platform for artisanal food, beverages, and café products.

Organised by Montgomery Asia, this year’s edition showcases a 60% increase in space for exhibitors, catering to an expected surge in brands and attendees.

Endorsed by Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE), ICBS 2024 will feature over 450 brands from 160 exhibitors across multiple countries, fostering international collaborations and presenting a diverse range of products.

The show’s appeal extends beyond borders, with confirmed pavilions for Singaporean, Thai, and Taiwanese businesses, along with enthusiastic participation from South Korea, Japan, Indonesia, and Thailand.

Emphasising specialty coffee, F&B products, café lifestyle, and technology, the event will host the Malaysia National Coffee Championship (MNCC) finals, showcasing Malaysian baristas’ skills in competitions like the Barista Championship, Brewers Cup, and Latte Art Championship.

The event’s educational focus expands in 2024, offering barista training in collaboration with the Barista Guild Asia.

Additionally, the ICBS Café Talk Zone returns with an enhanced program for exhibitors’ engagement and benefits.

Recognising the industry’s growth, Montgomery Asia Managing Director, Christopher McCuin expressed excitement for ICBS 2024, highlighting positive feedback from exhibitors and a surge in bookings.

Malaysia Specialty Coffee Association (MSCA) President, Kelvin Ngow Wai Hng emphasised ICBS’s role in fostering industry growth and championing young baristas’ talent through MNCC.

Key partners supporting ICBS 2024 include various coffee associations from ASEAN countries and government entities like Malaysia’s Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture, Malaysia Convention & Exhibition Bureau, and MATRADE.

The show, divided into trade-focused days and a public day, promises a vibrant showcase of coffee aromas, products, and exciting competitions.
