Samsung To Showcase Record-Breaking 15 C-Lab Startups At CES 2024

Samsung Electronics is set to unveil a diverse range of innovative projects developed through its C-Lab program at CES 2024, with a record-breaking 15 startups and projects taking center stage. This marks the highest number of features by the company at Eureka Park in the Venetian Expo, Las Vegas, the primary exhibition space for startups at the renowned tech show.

CES 2024, expecting over 1,000 startups and attracting more than 130,000 global visitors, provides an opportunity for Samsung’s C-Lab startups to gauge market responses, enhance business feasibility, and engage with potential investors. Since its inception in 2012, the C-Lab program has incubated approximately 870 startups and projects, fostering innovation and contributing to the tech ecosystem.

Samsung Electronics Executive Vice President and Head of the Creativity & Innovation Center, Pilgyu Jeon, emphasised the platform’s purpose: “The goal of the C-Lab program is to elevate a platform for startups to grow and flourish. CES is the perfect venue for these exciting companies and projects to show major tech players that they belong on the global stage.”

C-Lab Outside: Diverse Range Including AI, Energy, and Healthcare

Ten startups supported by C-Lab Outside will be featured, covering various sectors such as AI, energy, and healthcare. One notable project, Dr.Tail, an online veterinary consultation service, has collaborated with Samsung to bring its services to Smart TVs. Other startups include RebuilderAI, Ghost Pass, DEEPX, Style Bot, Vsion, DolbomDream, 60Hertz, Wrtn Technologies, and NdotLight.

Sunkwan Lee, Ghost Pass CEO, Sunkwan Lee expressed excitement about being part of C-Lab’s startup booth at Eureka Park, attributing their success to Samsung’s support. “Thanks to the support of Samsung C-Lab, we won the CES Innovation Award this year, which I think makes this year’s CES a good opportunity for us to take a step toward going global.”

C-Lab Inside and C-Lab Spin-off: From Healthcare to Pet-Tech

Two C-Lab Inside projects from Samsung employees, ID.EARS, a healthcare platform analyzing brain waves, and DumboCam, a pet training platform utilizing Vision AI, will be showcased. Additionally, three C-Lab Spin-off startups, Yellosis, Becon, and Goose Labs, will present their innovative products ranging from smart toilets to AI-powered hair loss management and metaverse home workout apps.

23 CES 2024 Innovation Awards

Projects from the C-Lab program have received significant recognition, winning a total of 23 CES 2024 Innovation Awards. Among these, STUDIO LAB, a startup spun off in 2021, secured the CES Innovation Award for its AI-based commerce detail page automation service and automated commerce photography robot.

Samsung’s commitment to nurturing startups and fostering innovation is evident in its impressive representation at CES 2024, reflecting the company’s dedication to pushing the boundaries of technology and supporting emerging entrepreneurs.
