AirAsia Announces Fixed Fares Starting At RM298 For CNY Travel To Sabah, Sarawak

In a bid to make Chinese New Year travel more accessible, AirAsia has introduced fixed fares for flights to Sabah and Sarawak, starting at an affordable RM298.

Transport Minister Anthony Loke shared this exciting news, highlighting the initiative as a positive step towards facilitating affordable reunions during the festive season.

For those traveling from Peninsular Malaysia to Sabah, the fixed all-in-one fare starts at RM348, while the fare to Sarawak is set at a budget-friendly RM298.

These fixed fares are applicable for ticket purchases starting today until Feb 15, with the travel period extending from Feb 5 to Feb 15.

Minister Loke emphasised that the fixed fares cover a five-day period before and after the first day of Chinese New Year. This strategic timing aims to encourage Malaysians to plan their trips and reunite with their loved ones, fostering the spirit of togetherness during this significant festive occasion.

“The fixed fares air tickets covered five days before the first day of Chinese New Year, and also five days after,” Loke said.

AirAsia’s CEO Bo Lingam expressed optimism about the positive impact of these fixed low fares, “The fixed low fares are expected to benefit thousands,” he said.

The initiative aligns with the airline’s commitment to providing affordable travel options, making it easier for individuals to celebrate Chinese New Year with family and friends.

Travelers are encouraged to take advantage of this limited-time offer, seizing the opportunity to plan a joyous and budget-friendly reunion for the upcoming Chinese New Year celebrations.
