Selangor residents who either have permanent residence of renting and with a household income below RM5,000 have been invited to apply for a free water scheme of 20 cubic meters per month.
Air Selangor said the applications for the Air Darul Ehsan Scheme are open until December 31 this year. Conditions for application include a valid individual meter and only eligible to apply for one account.
In July last year, Dato’ Menteri Besar informed that the provision of free water is still being implemented and the benefits are being enjoyed by almost 4 million users. Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari explained that the program to ease the burden of the people that has been running for almost 10 years has also been improved and given to those who really deserve it.
Starting 1 October 2022, the State Government changed the eligibility requirements for 20 cubic meters of free water per month by raising the maximum household income limit from RM4,000 to RM5,000 and below.
