Bursa Ends Morning Session Lower On Profit-Taking

Bursa Malaysia ended the morning session lower on Wednesday, in line with its regional peers, weighed down by profit-taking in selected heavyweight stocks. 

At 12.30pm, the FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) shed a point to 1,500.11 from Monday’s close of 1,501.11.

The KLCI opened 0.81 of a point easier at 1,500.3 and moved between 1,497.8 and 1,503.73 during the session.

On the broader market, decliners outpaced gainers 557 to 375, while 420 counters were unchanged, 865 untraded and 19 suspended.

Turnover amounted to 2.93 billion units worth RM1.72 billion, Bernama reported.
