Bursa Suspends Intraday Short Selling For Mestron

The intraday short selling (IDSS) of Mestron Holdings Bhd’s stock (MESTRON 0207) has been suspended for the rest of Wednesday as the last done price of the approved securities dropped more than 15% or 15 sen from the reference price.

On its website today (Jan 17), Bursa Malaysia announced that the short selling under IDSS will only be reactivated at 8.30am on Thursday.

Mestron plunged by 30.95% or 13 sen after the noon break to 29 sen. The price recovered slightly to 34 sen before its noon closing price of 42 sen.

The counter had previously increase by 6.82% year-to-date from 44 sen.
