BNM Warns Of Bernama Video Depicting Its Name, Logo Used For Scam

The Central Bank has issued a warning notice of a fake Bernama video clip which depicts the Bank, name and even mentioned an officer in the video is a scam to mislead people to invest.

The video clearly using artificial intelligence and sophisticated software mimics the government owned news agency Bernama with the newscaster wearing the pro Palestine scarf who goes on to claim the investment is the best financial platform ever offered to Malaysian.

The scamming scheme claims it can give Malaysians a return of RM1000 per month by just investing RM1200.

Bank Negara has warned on such AI generated video clips and has reminded people to be wary and remember than the Central Bank never endorses any schemes.
