Hannover Messe 2024 Offers Largest Industrial Stage For Future Of Manufacturing, Energy Supply

Hannover Messe 2024 —  the world’s leading trade fair for industrial technology — is set to take stage from April 22 to 26 in Hannover, Germany under its lead theme of “Energising a Sustainable Industry” bringing together market leaders from global companies from the mechanical and electrical engineering, the digital industry and the energy sectors to present solutions for the manufacturing, energy supply sectors.

Speaking at a stakeholder event today (Jan 23) on the international trade fair Hannover Messe Global Director Basilios Triantafillos said these are times of industrial transformation amidst some of the biggest challenges and biggest change in the industry. Any Form of transformation envisaged today is not only regarding machinery, not only regarding technology, the main driver of change is people, as they are the only being who can have and drives ideas. because people have ideas, people really are driving the same idea.

“For over 30 years, Hannover Messe has contemplated topics like carbon neutral production, development of hydrogen fuel cells to artificial intelligence, but the most important thing is the collaboration between each topic as the biggest results are seen in corporations and nations working together. If we (nations) don’t collaborate, then we’ve really got an issue regarding succeeding for the future,” Triantafillos added.

This year the aim is to energise the sustainable industry under three pillars  — new technology, politics  and ideas. More than 4,000 companies and over 750 speakers will be acting as an interconnected industrial ecosystem and demonstrating how climate neutrality can be achieved through electrification, digitisation and automation.

“For the first time in history, an energy conference will take place between Norway and Germany regarding the renewable energy transition,” he added.

Leading topics include Industry 4.0/Manufacturing-X, energy for industry, digitalization/artificial intelligence and machine learning, carbon-neutral production, and hydrogen and fuel cells. Conferences and forums complement the program.
