Indulge In A Culinary Extravaganza: Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre’s Ramadan Delights

As the fasting season approaches, the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (the Centre) is once again ready to captivate guests with Malaysian culinary classics. Under the overarching theme of ‘Tradisi Semarak Rasa’, the Centre has not only retained its essence but has also revamped its Ramadan menus to reflect a focus on sustainability and health.

With an emphasis on sourcing fresh, locally grown ingredients, the Centre’s team of award-winning chefs has curated a menu that seamlessly blends traditional Ramadan favorites with modern twists. From ayam masak rendang Minang to gulai daging tetel bersama rebung madu, guests can embark on a gastronomic journey through Malaysia’s rich history and diverse cultures.

Executive Chef Hisham Bin Jaafar shared insights into the menu transformation, highlighting the team’s commitment to preserving traditional tastes while introducing healthier options. “Our goal this year was to infuse our Ramadan menu with the goodness of locally sourced produce, offering guests a nutritious dining experience without compromising on flavor,” Chef Hisham remarked.

In addition to the culinary delights, the Centre ensured a seamless and spiritually fulfilling experience for Muslim guests. A designated prayer room, prayer mats, sandals, and an on-site ablution facility are provided, with an Imam leading Maghrib, Isya’, and Tarawih prayers.

Chef Hisham emphasised the Centre’s dedication to sustainability, revealing that 70% of the Ramadan menu comprises locally sourced products. “We are committed to supporting local suppliers and reducing our environmental footprint,” he added, citing the recent implementation of Winnow, a system aimed at minimizing food wastage.

Guests can indulge in this culinary extravaganza at the public buka puasa, priced at an affordable RM198 nett per person. Special discounts are available for children, senior citizens, early bird bookings, and group reservations, ensuring that everyone can partake in the festivities.

For corporate organisations seeking to host their Ramadan gatherings, the Centre offers customisable ‘Tradisi Semarak Rasa’ menus, complete with optional Chef Action Stations featuring delights like Mee Goreng Mamak and Ayam Tandoori.

As the fasting season approaches, the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre beckons guests to savor the essence of Malaysian cuisine, promising a delightful blend of tradition, sustainability, and culinary excellence.
