TH To Announce Dividend After Audit In April

Tabung Haji is set to announce its annual dividend payout in April this year, the Minister in the Prime Ministers Office said the announcement and distribution of dividends for the 2023 financial year will only be done after a full audit has been carried out.

He said the move was implemented following the Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI)’s previous instruction that an audit be carried out before the distribution of dividends. On inquiry if this years payout will be substantial, the Minister said expressed the hope that the top management of TH can find the best way to balance reasonable dividend without affecting financial assistance to pilgrims in the B40 and M40 groups. “Because it is the same fund, if we give a high dividend, it will reduce the financial assistance to pilgrims B40 and M40, so the top management of TH, I hope they can think and find the best way,” he said.

Last year TH announced the distribution of profits for the financial year 2022 at a rate of 3.10 percent after taking into account the 2.57 percent zakat involving a total distribution of RM2.65 billion to more than 8.7 million depositors.
