AirAsia announced a flash sale for flights to Almaty, Kazakhstan, with fares starting from RM88 all-in for a one-way journey. The flash sale is available from 10 am to 6 pm today. According to a statement from the budget carrier, flights from Kuala Lumpur to Almaty will depart at 12:50 pm, and return flights from Almaty to Kuala Lumpur will depart at 8:05 pm every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday.
AirAsia, CEO, Benyamin Ismail, expressed excitement about adding Kazakhstan as a new destination and highlighted the high demand for this route. He emphasised the company’s commitment to providing accessible and affordable travel options for all, a local news media reported.
He also anticipated significant interest in Almaty, particularly from students and leisure travelers keen to explore Kuala Lumpur’s diverse cultural offerings and popular tourist attractions.
The promotional fares can be booked through the airasia Superapp or the airline’s website for travel between March 14 and October 26, 2024.
