Microsoft Malaysia Appoints Laurence Si As Managing Director With K Raman To Assume New Role

Microsoft has appointed Laurence Si as the new Managing Director for its operations in Malaysia, effective from July 1, 2024.

Si brings with him three decades of business and technical expertise, poised to drive growth and digital acceleration in Malaysia across various sectors.

With a focus on advancing the country’s digital transformation through cloud adoption and artificial intelligence, Si and his leadership team will play a pivotal role in empowering digital-first companies, startups, and enterprises with innovative tools to scale their operations.

Commenting on the appointment, Microsoft ASEAN President Andrea Della Mattea expressed enthusiasm for the remarkable opportunities in Malaysia’s digital landscape.

Si echoed this sentiment, expressing excitement to lead Microsoft’s AI evolution and contribute to the positive impact on communities.

Si’s extensive experience includes leadership roles at AWS, VMware, Cisco, and Lucent, where he played instrumental roles in establishing their presence and driving cloud adoption in Malaysia and emerging markets.
