Prime Minister Extends Greetings As Malaysians Celebrate Aidilfitri Tomorrow

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim extended Aidilfitri greetings to all Malaysians who will be celebrating the Hari Raya on 10 April as announced by the Keeper of the Rulers Seal.

In a live broadcast addressing the nation, Anwar gave his greetings and reminding all Malaysians on the importance of unity, irrespective of race or religion in order to bring the nation to greater heights. He also called on the people to be resolute in instilling values to build a dignified nation and not belittle, insult or disrupt the cultural practices of the way of lives of others.

Anwar also called on Malaysian muslins to take this time (Aidlifitri) to seek forgiveness for misunderstandings and wrongdoing. ‘There has been past incidents where harsh words and profanity thrown out of anger, use this opportunity to ask for forgiveness” he said.

The Prime Minister also apologised to all Muslims and Malaysians if he had said or done anything that could have caused inadvertently caused an offence.
