GrabPay Goes Down During Peak Lunch Hour

Grab Malaysia faced technical issues with its GrabPay service today (Apr 17), leaving users unable to access their e-wallets and make payments via the app. Users reported difficulties reloading, making payments, and checking their e-wallet balances, prompting frustration and complaints on social media platforms.

The issue, which occurred around lunchtime, approximately 12 PM, impacted users during peak hours, particularly when many were ordering lunch. Grab Malaysia responded to complaints on social media, acknowledging the problem and assuring users that they were working to resolve it.

A few of users expressing dissatisfaction with the technical glitches during lunch hour, took to social media to criticise Grab Malaysia’s payment system. One of them sarcastically wished Grab luck in dealing with the potential loss of customers during this crucial time.

Approximately by 2 pm, Grab Malaysia announced that the technical issue had been resolved. Despite the inconvenience caused, users expressed relief upon hearing the news of the service restoration.
