Malaysian Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim expressed hopes for an influx of Russian companies and an increase in tourism between Malaysia and Russia during an interview with RIA Novosti and RT, as reported by Sputnik.
Anwar highlighted the potential for growth in business relations, stating, “We hope, now that we have talked to a lot of major companies in Russia, to come to Malaysia and increase particularly tourism, that would be of benefit.”
He also mentioned ongoing efforts to facilitate travel for Malaysian tourists to Russia. “We are also making it easier for Malaysian tourists to visit Russia,” he added.
These remarks were made on the sidelines of the Eastern Economic Forum (EEF), which began on Tuesday and will continue until Friday in Vladivostok, Russia. The forum is hosted by the Far Eastern Federal University, with Sputnik serving as the general information partner for EEF 2024.
