TNB Warns Of Imposters Collecting Electricity Bill Payment

Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) has issued a warning to consumers, advising them to be cautious of individuals or third parties making misleading claims about electricity bill payments or discounts.

TNB emphasised that it has not appointed any private agents to manage bill payments through phone calls, WhatsApp, or social media.

This reminder comes in response to reports of consumers being misled by false offers promising discounts of up to thirty-five percent (35%) on electricity bills.

TNB clarified that it does not offer such discounts for bill payments.

As part of its commitment to customer service, TNB encourages consumers to utilise secure and convenient payment options.

Customers can pay their electricity bills through the following official channels:

  • myTNB mobile app (available for free download)
  • myTNB online portal at www.mytnb.com.my
  • Alternative methods, including online banking, JomPAY, e-Wallet, monthly direct debit, or autopay
  • Physical payment locations, such as kiosks, Kedai Tenaga counters, and authorized TNB collection agents like 7-Eleven and Pos Malaysia
