The Malaysian-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MGCC) is set to host a delegation from Germany’s water supply and treatment sectors from September 9 to 13, 2024. This initiative aims to showcase innovative solutions and explore partnership opportunities with Malaysian businesses.
The delegation comprises 11 leading German enterprises, including IMPREG Group GmbH, NIVUS GmbH, Rädlinger Primus Line GmbH, VEGA Grieshaber KG, Wero Antriebstechnik GmbH, ALLWEILER GmbH, GHS Separationstechnik GmbH, HAVER & BOECKER OHG, MSE Filtepressen GmbH, Weber-Entec GmbH & Co. KG, and Behncke GmbH.
The five-day program includes a conference focused on German technologies in water supply management and wastewater treatment efficiency. Participants will engage in business matching sessions with local industry players.
Additionally, the itinerary features a roundtable discussion with the Ministry of Energy Transition and Water Transformation (PETRA) regarding water supply and wastewater management in Malaysia. Delegates will also visit the National Water Services Commission (SPAN), a water treatment plant operated by Pengurusan Air Selangor, and a sewage treatment facility managed by Indah Water Konsortium.

The event is organised by MGCC in collaboration with SBS Systems for Business Solutions (SBS) on behalf of the Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK), alongside project partners the German Water Partnership and the Malaysian Water Association.
Germany is recognised globally for its advanced approaches to water management, treatment, and conservation. The country’s commitment to environmental protection and resource recovery aligns with the principles of the circular economy, aiming to reduce the environmental impact of wastewater treatment and address global water-related challenges.
