Anwar Says Chinese Entrepreneurs Are Also Key In Boosting Local, Global Economy

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has acknowledged the significant contributions of the Malaysian Chinese community to the country’s socioeconomic development, particularly in the economic, cultural, educational, and industrial sectors.

Speaking at the 17th World Chinese Entrepreneurs Convention, Anwar praised Chinese entrepreneurs both in Malaysia and globally for their role in driving the local and international economy.

“In a world marked by complexities and increasing instability, Chinese entrepreneurs globally can play a larger role in safeguarding regional economic cooperation and promoting global socio-economic development,” he said.

Anwar highlighted the efforts of Chinese entrepreneurs in Southeast Asia, East Asia, the United States, Canada, Europe, and Africa, noting their success in forging stronger business and economic links across borders.
