Raja Petra Kamarudin, the political blogger renowned for his controversial views, passed away in Manchester, United Kingdom, last night. According to Free Malaysia Today, his brother, Raja Idris, confirmed the news this morning. Raja Petra was 74 years old.
In a statement, Raja Idris revealed that Raja Petra died at 11:26 PM UK time on Monday, September 9. “It is with great sadness that I am informing you that my loving brother, Raja Petra Kamarudin, has just passed away,” Raja Idris said.
Raja Petra, widely known as RPK, was born on September 27, 1950. He gained prominence through his website Malaysia Today, which was known for publishing political conspiracy theories.
