Taiwan Rates Unchanged As Expected

Taiwan’s central bank kept its policy rate unchanged as expected on Thursday, over lingering inflation concerns.

In a Reuters poll, all 32 economists surveyed predicted the central bank would hold the rate steady.

The central bank left the benchmark discount rate at 2 per cent.
