Chai Is Now Group Chief Financial & Strategy Officer Of Yinson

Yinson Holdings Bhd on Friday announced that the group’s Chief Strategy Officer, Chai Jia Jun, has been redesignated as Group Chief Financial & Strategy Officer, through a Bursa filing.

In this role, Chai will take on overall responsibility of the group’s finance function, in addition to his current role as Group Chief Strategy Officer.

The Board of Directors of Yinson has approved the dual-appointment with effect from 1 February 2025.

Prior to the redesignation, Chai has held the position of Group Chief Strategy Officer since March 2023.

From 2015 to February 2023, he served as the Director of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Office and helmed the Investor Relations division of Yinson where he managed the group’s equity capital market transactions and matters related to partnership.

In 2018, Chai first joined Yinson’s Management Committee as an alternate and subsequently became a member.

Chai, a Malaysian national currently 44 years old, holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (Corporate Finance) from the University of Adelaide, Australia.

Chai will assume the responsibility and task of Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Guillaume Francois Jest who will be holding the position through 31 January 2025. Jest will then be tasked with a Special Project role within the Group CEO’s office until his final day on 31 July 2025.

Meanwhile, Yinson’s independent non-executive director , Lim Poh Seong, has been appointed as a member of the audit committee.
