The Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) has confirmed the reappointment of Tan Sri Mohamad Salim Fateh Din as its chairman for another two-year term, effective from March 1, 2025.
This reappointment was announced after Communications Minister Fahmi Fadzil confirmed the extension of Mohamad Salim’s tenure on Monday.
Mohamad Salim was initially appointed as the Chairman of MCMC for a two-year term beginning March 1, 2023, and will continue in the role until Feb 29, 2025.
Under his leadership, MCMC achieved its best financial performance, recording a net income of RM1.13 billion last year, a 38% increase compared to RM820.6 million in the previous year.
