YTL Stocks Top Gainers, Nestle Loses RM2.00

Utilities firm YTL Power International Bhd today surged 42 sen to close at RM4.08 to occupy the top spot of the top gainers’ list, followed by YTL Corporation Bhd, also a utilities listing, which advanced 41 sen to end the day at RM2.55.

Property listing Ayer Holdings Bhd increased 36 sen to settle at RM7.56.

Consumer listing Hong Leong Industries Bhd gained 24 sen, closing at RM14.40.

Plantation firm Batu Kawan Bhd climbed 16 sen to end the day at RM20.14.

Nestle (Malaysia) Bhd, was the top decliner which gave up RM2.00 to settle at RM97.00.

Petrol station retailer Petronas Dagangan Bhd trimmed 38 sen to settle at RM19.86 while consumer listing PPB Group Bhd decreased 24 sen to close at RM11.88.

Semiconductor manufacturer Malaysian Pacific Industries Bhd decreased 28 sen to close at RM26.00.

Industrial listing Scientex Bhd shed 20 sen, ending the day at RM4.30.

On the broader market, decliners outnumbered gainers by 693 to 369, while 540 counters were unchanged, 870 untraded and 49 suspended.

Exchange-wide turnover increased to 3.20 billion shares/units valued at RM3.03 billion, from 2.55 billion shares/units valued at RM2.29 billion recorded on Wednesday.
