Energy listing Yinson today advanced 13 sen, or 5.0%, to settle at RM2.70, recording a trading turnover of 2,319,600 shares/units.
Plantation counter Kuala Lumpur Kepong Bhd (KLK) and consumer listing Petronas Dagangan Bhd both surged 18 sen, settling at RM21.48 and RM19.38, respectively.
Batu Kawan Bhd, also a plantation firm, climbed 12 sen to close at RM20.12 on a volume of 33 lots while financial services listing Allianz Malaysia Bhd increased 10 sen to settle at RM20.38, after trading of 83 lots. (1 lot=100 shares)
Beer supplier Heineken Malaysia Bhd was the top decliner today, giving up 28 sen to close at RM23.66, followed by Main board technology leader Malaysian Pacific Industries which slid 26 sen to RM25.48.
United Plantations ended the day on the decliners side, becoming the third-ranking decliner which decreased 22 sen to RM30.00 on a turnover of 357,700 shares/units. By contrast, KLK and Batu Kawan were both listed on the gainers’ chart.
Hong Leong Bank Bhd and MBM Resources Bhd both declined 14 sen. Hong Leong Bank closed at RM20.20 while auto and autoparts dealer MBM Resources settled at RM5.87 on a turnover of nearly one million (964,500) shares/units.
