Bursa today announced that effective 9am on Dec 31, 2024 (Tuesday), Sunzen Biotech Bhd will be traded and quoted under its new name Sunzen Group Bhd while the stock code and stock short name will remain unchanged.
According to a Bursa press statement, the warrants of Sunzen Group’s underlying securities will be renamed to Sunzen Group Bhd – Warrants C2022/2027, from Sunzen Biotech Bhd – Warrants C2022/2027.
Meanwhile, according to a Bursa filing on Dec 19, the company’s shareholders approved a special resolution to rename the company from “Sunzen Biotech Bhd” to “Sunzen Group Bhd” during the company’s 19th AGM, signalling the group’s venturing into diversified operations encompassing health, medical devices and services, and loan financing.
The Group Managing Director Teo Yek Ming commented, “The adoption of the new name, Sunzen Group Bhd, symbolises our growth beyond the biotechnology sector, positioning us as a multifaceted organisation ready to deliver greater value to our shareholders.”
“The group will continually explore new opportunities across various industries, aiming to establish individual ecosystems within the fields of health and wellness products, medical devices and services, as well as loan financing, striving to become a sustainable and long-term enterprise,” Teo said.
