On Friday, East Asia’s main markets ended mixed.
Japan’s Nikkei 225 rallied 1.80% to close at 40,281.16 points, while Shanghai SE moved up marginally by 0.06% to 3,400.14 points.
However, Hong Kong Hang Seng Index closed 0.04% lower to 20,090.46 points.
Other regional Asia-Pacific markets also closed mixed.
Singapore’s STI added 0.27% to 3,771.63 points.
Malaysia’s KLCI surged 0.89% to 1,628.14 points.
Taiwan Capitalisation Weighted Index TWII also gained 0.12% to 23,275.68 points.
South Korea’s KOSPI was down 1.02% to 2,404.77 points.
Australia’s ASX 200 was up 0.50% to 8,261.80 points.
