Denza Launches Flagship EV MPV In Malaysia, Priced From RM259,000

BYD’s wholly owned subsidiary, Denza, has entered the Malaysian automotive market through the launching of its flagship model, the Denza D9.

Under the tagline of “Redefining Sophistication”, Denza redefines luxury in modern mobility by combining elegant design, innovative technology and sustainable performance.

The D9, embodying the vision of innovation and luxury, provides unparalleled comfort and safety, ensuring every journey is exceptional.

“The D9 is our first pure electric vehicle (EV) MPV that combines advanced innovation, elegant design and luxurious features.

“Available in three exterior colour options including Arctic White, Cosmos Black and Whale Sea Blue, the D9 features a 103.6 kWh battery that supports three-phase 11kW AC charging and up to 166kW DC charging.

“For the interior, the D9 offers colour choices of Beige and Brown, enhancing its visual appeal,” BYD Malaysia Sdn Bhd Managing Director Eagle Zhao said.

He added that the D9 also come with a rich list of features on the inside as well, from the 15.6-inch head unit, a 10.25-inch instrument cluster in front of the steering wheel and a 50W wireless phone charger.

“Both the D9 Advanced variant and the D9 Premium variant also come with a panoramic sunroof, as well as a fridge with its own touch screen,” Zhao shared.

In terms of performance, Zhao said the Advanced variant features 230kW of power and 360Nm of torque.

“The Advance variant, which is the front-wheel drive model, can accelerate from zero to 100kmh within 9,5 seconds. It has an NEDC range of 600km.

“As for the all-wheel drive Premium model, it has an output of 270kW of power and 479Nm of torque, with a century sprint time of 6.9 seconds and an NEDC range of 580km,” Zhao added.

As for the pricing, the D9 Advanced is priced at RM259,000 while the D9 Premium costs RM309,000.

“The D9 comes with a comprehensive warranty like up to eight years or 160,000km mileage warranty for battery (SOH within >70 or above) and up to eight years or 150,000km on its drive motor and motor controller.

“The EV MPV also come with a vehicle warranty of up to six years or 150,000km,” Zhao said.
