Scicom (MSC) Berhad announced that it has been awarded by the Government Industry Technical and Vocational Education and Training Coordination Body for the development and implementation of GITC’s TVET Digital Platform Placement Centre.
The initial term of the contract is fifteen years and is subject to renewal at the end of the period. The group said the contract is to be based on a variable business model over the term, however, no further details were provided especially on the value of the contract.
As for the work, it involves the development and implementation of a comprehensive digital platform, utilising an innovative self-funding mechanism. It is aligned with GITC’s objectives of modernising Malaysia’s TVET sector.
GITC is a collaborative platform established to bridge the gap between the needs of industries and the education provided by TVET institutions in Malaysia.
