Tourism Malaysia, in collaboration with 12 industry players, has introduced 36 wellness tourism packages that integrate health, culture, and nature, catering to travellers seeking relaxation and self-care experiences.
The packages, launched today, offer a range of wellness activities, including traditional Malay massage for muscle relief, tai chi breathing exercises for mental and physical well-being, forest bathing, and revitalising hot spring baths. Prices start at RM248, and the packages are valid until 31 December 2026, subject to terms and conditions.
Beyond wellness treatments, the programme includes visits to cultural villages, natural attractions such as hot spring pools, and recreational sites to enhance the overall travel experience.
According to Tourism Malaysia, 365 registered spas under the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture offer various treatments such as hot stone massages, traditional scrubs, aromatherapy, postnatal care, hydrotherapy, herbal baths, and Ayurveda therapy. Additionally, the Malaysian massage incorporates traditional healing techniques from diverse local cultures.
Among the most sought-after treatments are Malaysian herbal foot soaks, Qi Gong breathing techniques from Chinese traditions, Indian head massages, and reflexology sessions, all aimed at improving physical relaxation and overall well-being.
