Sports Toto Bhd’s wholly owned subsidiary, STM Lottery Sdn Bhd, has extended the tenure of its RM800 million Medium Term Notes (MTN) Programme by an additional 20 years to June 30, 2052, while introducing greater flexibility through a new early redemption feature.
The gaming company said STM Lottery has revised certain terms and conditions of the MTN Programme as part of its long-term funding strategy.
The revisions include extending the programme’s expiry date from June 30, 2032 to June 30, 2052, allowing the company to retain long-term access to Malaysia’s debt capital market.
STM Lottery has also incorporated a call option, enabling it to redeem, in whole, individual tranches of the medium-term notes before their maturity dates, subject to the terms and conditions of the programme.
The company said Maybank Trustees Bhd, the trustee for the MTN Programme, notified noteholders of the proposed revisions on June 19, 2026, and subsequently provided its concurrence on June 30, 2026.
Meanwhile, MARC Ratings Bhd confirmed on June 12, 2026 that the revisions would not affect the existing credit rating of the MTN Programme.
Sports Toto added that CIMB Investment Bank Bhd and Maybank Investment Bank Bhd, acting as the joint principal advisers, joint lead arrangers and joint lead managers for the programme, formally notified the Securities Commission Malaysia of the revisions on July 22, 2026.
The extension provides STM Lottery with greater financial flexibility to manage its long-term funding requirements while preserving access to capital markets under the existing RM800 million programme.
The introduction of the call option is also expected to give the company greater flexibility in managing its debt portfolio by allowing it to refinance or redeem outstanding notes ahead of maturity should market conditions become favourable.
