Yakin Medic, a homegrown leader in advanced stem cell therapies, plans to launch an initial public offering (IPO) on the Singapore Exchange (SGX) Catalist Board in late 2025 or early 2026, targeting RM100 million in funding.
The proceeds will be used to repurpose a Cyberjaya facility, support overseas expansion, and strengthen research and development efforts.
Evolve Capital Advisory has been appointed as the IPO sponsor and issue manager, while MCI Capital Sdn Bhd, through its ASIA IPO FUND, will serve as the cornerstone investor.
Additionally, Yakin Medic is evaluating a secondary listing on Malaysia’s ACE Market or Nasdaq, with discussions ongoing with Mazars.
Founder Patrick Tan stated that Yakin Medic will collaborate with the Ministry of Health (KKM) to advance research on frailty, a condition affecting older adults, increasing their risk of disability and hospitalisation.
The company’s advanced laboratories and R&D facilities will support innovation in this field, reinforcing its commitment to regenerative medicine.
Yakin Medic’s new 40,000 sq ft Cyberjaya facility, set to be operational by mid-2027, is expected to produce stem cells for 5,000 patients annually.
