Malaysian exhibitors also secured 313 trade enquiries, demonstrating strong engagement from trade visitors. The top five products in terms of interest were biscuits and cookies, processed poultry (duck) products, seafood, confectionery, and snacks.
Organised by the Japan Management Association, Foodex Japan 2025 is Asia’s premier food and beverage (F&B) trade exhibition, and it was held from March 11-14, 2025, at Tokyo Big Sight. The exhibition, featuring participation from 3,000 exhibitors across 3,800 booths, attracted 76,183 trade visitors from 70 countries and regions.
During the exhibition, the Malaysian Pavilion served as a vibrant hub, spotlighting Malaysia’s diverse and high-quality Halal food and beverage offerings. Attendees were treated to a wide array of products, including delectable confectionery, snacks, cookies, premium tropical beverages, seafood, bird nest and coffee, all produced in adherence to the strictest Halal standards.
Moving forward, MATRADE Chief Executive Officer Datuk Mohd Mustafa Abdul Aziz said the corporation is committed to strengthening Malaysia’s presence at Foodex Japan
“We will proactively work towards securing a larger exhibition space to accommodate even more Malaysian companies at future editions as the move will enable us to maximise opportunities for export growth and further solidify Malaysia’s position as a key player in the global F&B industry.
“With the introduction of a dedicated Halal, Kosher, and Organic Hall at the next Foodex, we are confident that Malaysian businesses are well-positioned to achieve sustained growth and market expansion, not only within Japan but across the broader Asian region and beyond,” he said.
The next edition of Foodex Japan is scheduled to take place from March 10-13, 2026, at Tokyo Big Sight.
