Talentbank has unveiled its latest findings on Malaysia’s most employable universities, with top graduate recruiters identifying preferred institutions based on employability ratings, field of study, type, and geographical location.
Among the most frequently cited institutions by graduate recruiters were:
- Sunway University
- Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR)
- Taylor’s University
- Tunku Abdul Rahman University of Management and Technology (TAR UMT)
- Universiti Malaya (UM)
- Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM)
- Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM)
- Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM)
These universities stood out for producing work-ready graduates, making them prime targets for employers across various industries.
The report categorised universities based on:
- Employability Ratings: Institutions ranked highly by employers for producing job-ready graduates.
- Field of Study: Some universities received strong recognition in specific areas such as engineering, health sciences, IT, and business.
- Type: Both public and private universities featured, showing balanced employer demand.
- Location: Institutions across Malaysia, from Johor to Sarawak, were acknowledged, highlighting nationwide talent relevance.
Private and foreign-affiliated institutions such as INTI, UCSI, Monash Malaysia, Heriot-Watt Malaysia (HWUM), University of Nottingham Malaysia, and Curtin Malaysia also featured, reinforcing the value of international standards and private sector agility in producing employable graduates.
Institutions such as Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS), Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA), and Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka (UTeM) were also recognised, underlining regional diversity and technical specialisation.
