Local HR Platform BrioHR Secures RM30 Million Series A Funding

Malaysia-based HR tech software startup, BrioHR announced that it has raised RM30 million (USD$6.5 million) in Series A funding. The investors were led by Openspace Ventures and joined by Taiwania Hive Ventures and other key regional investors.

BrioHR’s platform has assisted over 1,000 companies in Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, and assists in managing payroll, compliance, and employee engagement. With fresh capital in hand, the company said it plans to scale operations regionally and double down on AI innovation, making complex HR processes seamless and accessible for every business.

“It is a remarkable feat, especially as the funding environment has been tough since 2022. This investment will allow us to grow tenfold and help more companies in Malaysia and ASEAN to develop a best-in-class digital HR framework, creating a win-win for both companies and their employees”, said Benjamin Croc, CEO and co-founder of BrioHR.

He added, “The investment is also a testament that Malaysia is home to top talent and can create and nurture regional and global leaders in technology. Our platform is a step up in how companies can digitise all their HR processes with a unique focus on the end-users, our unique UI/UX making it easy to adopt and use the platform across the company for maximum performance.”

The announcement comes as Malaysia ramps up its efforts to position itself at the heart of a USD$2 trillion ASEAN digital economy by 2030. BrioHR is seen as a key player in this push, offering practical, scalable tools that help businesses digitise fast—and stay compliant as they grow.
