13th Malaysia Plan Set For Parliament Tabling On July 28

The 13th Malaysia Plan (RMK13) under the MADANI Government is expected to be tabled in Parliament on July 28, said Government Spokesperson Datuk Fahmi Fadzil.

Fahmi, who is also the Minister of Communications, confirmed during his weekly press conference that the Cabinet was briefed on the plan’s implementation by Ministry of Economy Secretary-General Datuk Nor Azmie Diron.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has instructed all ministries to review the draft and provide feedback to the Ministry of Economy ahead of the finalisation of the document.

“This will, insya-Allah, be the first Malaysia Plan to be tabled by the Prime Minister,” Fahmi added.

Anwar, who is also Finance Minister, said earlier that RMK13 would serve as a launching point to address key national challenges, including development and income gaps, fiscal constraints, and sluggish structural economic transitions.

RMK13 is a key policy document aimed at driving the Government’s MADANI Economy agenda.

Separately, Fahmi said the Prime Minister has reminded the Cabinet to continue efforts to upgrade 30 schools in military camps nationwide.

Anwar also expressed satisfaction with the progress of the Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) construction by Lumut Naval Shipyard, describing it as a commendable achievement.
