In an inspired collaboration, Horizon Watches and Selten Watch have unveiled the Limited Edition Nemo Reissue Collection. This partnership blends Horizon’s bold, engineering-focused design philosophy with Selten’s renowned craftsmanship, particularly in dial artistry. The result is a watch that not only tells time but redefines the aesthetic and technical boundaries of modern horology.
The story behind this unique partnership began through mutual admiration. Fred Bekher, founder of Horizon Watches, found himself drawn to the captivating CNC guilloché mother-of-pearl dials in Selten’s M1 Moonphase collection.
Inspired, he approached Leonardo Tsai, founder of Selten, with a proposal to explore a creative collaboration—a suggestion that Tsai immediately embraced.
“Fred’s Horizon Nemo collection felt like the perfect canvas for our unique dials — it was a natural fit,” Tsai commented. What followed was an interplay of complementary visions, culminating in a timepiece that genuinely reflects both brands’ identities.
The collection arrives in two standout colourways: a sleek black symbolising Selten’s refined, dressy sensibility; and a striking teal, which pays homage to the spirit of underwater exploration inherent to the Nemo series.
Design in Detail
The Horizon x Selten Nemo Reissue features a 40mm case made from 316L stainless steel, with a balanced mix of brushed and polished finishes.
A unidirectional rotating bezel, complete with a sapphire insert and SuperLuminova (BGW9), offers both practical function and vintage flair. A boxed sapphire crystal with triple-layer internal anti-reflective coating ensures excellent visibility from any angle.
The standout feature of the watch is undoubtedly the dial. Crafted from CNC guilloché mother-of-pearl, it embodies Selten’s signature attention to detail and artistry. The dial catches and reflects light in dynamic ways, while polished indices and hands — also filled with SuperLuminova — guarantee clarity in low-light conditions.
Technical Details and Practical Touches
Under the surface, the watches are powered by the reliable Miyota 9039 automatic movement, chosen for its slim profile and absence of a “ghost” date mechanism. With water resistance rated up to 200 metres, these watches are designed for both elegance and adventure.
Each set includes two strap options—a stainless steel bracelet with micro-adjustment system and a vintage-inspired, full-grain leather strap—providing versatility and comfort for a range of occasions.
