Chin Hin Group Property Bhd (CHGP) has secured shareholders’ approval for its RM66 million acquisition of a 16,222 sq m leasehold industrial site in Kota Damansara, paving the way for its entry into industrial property development through The NeX, a project with an estimated gross development value of RM449.4 million.
The NeX will comprise 242 warehouse units across nine storeys, targeting SMEs, logistics operators, distributors, e-commerce players, showroom operators and light industrial users.
The project will combine industrial space with amenities including a rooftop lounge garden, gymnasium, pickleball court, event hall and conference facilities, positioning it as an integrated industrial-commercial hub.
Located within the established Kota Damansara industrial enclave, the development will have access to the Damansara-Shah Alam Expressway, New Klang Valley Expressway and Lebuhraya Damansara-Puchong.
The acquisition expands CHGP’s portfolio beyond its traditional residential and commercial segments and lifts the group’s total development pipeline to about RM6.3 billion across 11 ongoing projects.
CHGP Executive Director and Group Chief Executive Officer Chang Tze Yoong said the move into industrial property was a strategic expansion aimed at capturing sustained demand for quality industrial space in mature locations.
He said The NeX was designed to meet the changing needs of modern enterprises by offering scalable industrial units alongside facilities intended to support productivity and operational efficiency.
Subject to regulatory approvals, the development is expected to be completed by 2029.
