Devil Wears 2 Production in Spotlight as Details Drop

The streets of New York City have once again transformed into a fashion spectacle. Still, this time it’s not Fashion Week—it’s the filming of The Devil Wears Prada 2. Since cameras started rolling in late June, the sequel has quickly evolved into a runway event in its own right.

From Anne Hathaway’s elevated street style to Meryl Streep’s razor-sharp elegance and Emily Blunt’s bold new look, each sighting has turned into a mini fashion moment, sparking excitement about what the full film will deliver when it arrives in cinemas in May 2026.

Anne Hathaway returns as Andrea Sachs, sporting a captivating wardrobe that seamlessly blends vintage and contemporary high fashion. Her looks include standout pieces like a metallic Rabanne dress, a vintage Jean Paul Gaultier vest and trousers, and a Gabriela Hearst dress accessorised with luxury items from Fendi, Chloé, and Bulgari.

Hathaway’s outfits are diverse and never repeated, reflecting a sophisticated, modern New York academia style that also features designers such as Ralph Lauren, Prada, and Zadig & Voltaire.

Meryl Streep and Emily Blunt elevate the spectacle further with two sharply contrasting visions. Streep’s Miranda Priestly reasserts her dominance through power dressing—longline Lanvin coats, Stuart Weitzman shoes, and Tiffany & Co. jewels—delivering authority with subtle flashes of drama.

In contrast, Blunt’s Emily Charlton debuts a daring platinum blonde bob and a refreshed wardrobe of Chanel-inspired tailoring, neon flourishes, and a custom Coach sweater embroidered with a New York motif.

Whether pairing Dior with Jean Paul Gaultier or clashing streetwear with couture, Blunt’s new look cements her character’s transformation into a confident, cutting-edge player in the fashion world.

Behind the scenes, the iconic costume designer Patricia Field has passed the torch to her protégé Molly Rogers, who has risen to the challenge. Rogers’ work ensures the sequel’s fashion remains a show-stopper, combining nostalgia with contemporary trends to reflect the evolving characters and modern luxury aesthetics.

The fashion story is only part of the excitement. The cast line-up for The Devil Wears Prada 2 is equally star-studded, with Hathaway, Streep, Blunt, and Stanley Tucci all reprising their roles, joined by new additions including Kenneth Branagh, Simone Ashley, Lucy Liu, and B.J. Novak.

With The Devil Wears Prada 2 slated for release on May 1, 2026, audiences are undoubtedly in for a visual feast of fashion and character chemistry from new and iconic characters.
