OFFLINE 16 Pickleball Challenge Draws 1,320 Participants In 2025

The OFFLINE 16 ESG event series, organised by VitaHealth Malaysia and Tropicana Corporation Bhd, has engaged 1,320 participants across seven events this year, promoting mental wellness and physical activity.

The latest flagship event, held on August 16 2025, at Tropicana Golf & Country Resort, saw 310 participants take part in pickleball challenges alongside Olympian Pearly Tan and pickleball champion Colin Wong. The seven-hour programme included yoga, piloxing, body combat, mental wellness games, health screenings and relaxation zones. Participants also received exclusive goodies and lucky draw prizes.

OFFLINE 16, now in its second year, aims to encourage people to disconnect from digital devices and foster face-to-face interactions. Previous events included a nature retreat, beach cleanup and pickleball challenges in Penang and Singapore.

The initiative aligns with ESG commitments, highlighting mental health awareness, preventive wellness and community engagement. Over 40 Tropicana employees joined the activities, reflecting the company’s focus on employee wellbeing.

According to organisers, OFFLINE 16 is a response to rising mental health risks in Asia, where heavy screen use has been linked to anxiety, depression and social isolation. The programme seeks to make mental wellness accessible and practical through immersive offline experiences.

The OFFLINE 16 finale event is scheduled for October 2025, promising a final rest-and-recharge session to cap the series.
