Perak Transit Bhd is embarking on a “Smart Mobility Initiative” to transform its transportation network and tap into new growth opportunities under Malaysia’s Smart City agenda.
The programme will introduce Smart Terminals, Smart Buses and Smart Bus Stops, supported by the Perak Transit’s SuperApp that integrates ticketing, payments, journey planning and loyalty rewards.
The group said these initiatives are designed to enhance commuter convenience, improve safety and raise operational efficiency across its network.
Perak Transit expects the initiative to open new revenue streams, strengthen its market position and deliver sustainable long-term value, while contributing to digitalisation and green mobility goals.
The group is currently finalising agreements with government and industry stakeholders to advance the rollout.
