SC Launches Training Programme For Women Returning To Capital Market

The Securities Commission Malaysia (SC) has opened applications for investED for Returning Women, a new initiative aimed at supporting women re-entering the capital market after a career break.

The programme targets professionals aged 50 and below who have been out of the workforce for up to 10 years and last worked in the capital market or a public listed company. The first cohort will be limited to 100 participants, primarily middle management professionals.

Set to begin next month, the two-month programme will refresh participants’ skills through mentorship, career clinics, personalised guidance, practical insights and professional networking opportunities. Participants will receive RM2,000 and a certificate upon completion.

investED for Returning Women is supported by the 30% Club Malaysia, LeadWomen Sdn Bhd, Securities Industry Development Corporation (SIDC), PwC Malaysia and Talent Corporation Malaysia and aligns with the Government’s Budget 2025 call for inclusive growth and gender diversity in the economy.

The programme builds on the SC’s investED Leadership Programme, launched in 2023 with the Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Higher Education, which focused on developing a new generation of capital market leaders.

Applications are open from October 8 to 31 2025 via the investED website, with candidates selected through a shortlisting process. CVs from the TalentCorp Career Comeback Programme database are also accepted.
