Telkom Indonesia has agreed to partially spin off its wholesale fibre connectivity business to its subsidiary, Telkom Infrastruktur Indonesia, in a deal worth 35.787 trillion rupiah (US$2.16 billion).
In a statement, the company said the transaction, categorised as a material and affiliated party deal under domestic regulations, would not have a significant impact on its financial position.
The move aims to sharpen business focus and optimise the use of its fibre optic network assets.
