Vietjet has officially launched a direct service connecting Kuala Lumpur with Da Nang, providing Malaysian travellers with easier access to Central Vietnam’s beaches, cultural sites and culinary offerings.
The daily round-trip flights mark Vietjet’s third connection between Malaysia and Vietnam, complementing its existing Kuala Lumpur–Hanoi and Kuala Lumpur–Ho Chi Minh City routes. With the addition, Vietjet now operates 42 weekly flights between both countries, strengthening tourism and business links across ASEAN.
Da Nang, located on Vietnam’s central coast, is known for its beaches, local cuisine and proximity to UNESCO World Heritage sites such as Hoi An Ancient Town and Hue Imperial City.
Flight details are as follows:
- Kuala Lumpur–Da Nang, VJ824: 14:30–16:10 (daily)
- Da Nang–Kuala Lumpur, VJ827: 09:50–13:30 (daily)

The launch coincides with Vietjet being named Grand Winner in the Tourism category at the ASEAN Business Awards 2025, held alongside the 47th ASEAN Summit in Malaysia. The award recognises the airline’s contribution to regional connectivity and sustainable growth.
Vietjet, Vietnam’s largest private airline, currently operates a fleet of 130 aircraft across 170 domestic and international routes, having transported more than 250 million passengers across the Asia-Pacific region.
Promotional fares for the new route start from RM166 one way, inclusive of taxes and fees and tickets are available via Vietjet’s website and mobile app.
