Telekom Malaysia’s enterprise and government arm, TM One, has signed a collaboration agreement with SIRIM Academy to enhance Malaysia’s capabilities in information security, artificial intelligence (AI) governance, and workforce certification.
The partnership will focus on helping enterprises and government agencies comply with international standards such as the Information Security Management System (ISO/IEC 27001) and the newly introduced AI Management System (ISO/IEC 42001:2023).
Under the agreement, TM One will provide operational security services such as monitoring, incident response, and managed detection, while SIRIM Academy will lead certification and professional training programmes aligned with these global standards.
Both organisations will also work together to close compliance gaps and strengthen resilience within Malaysia’s digital economy, offering joint go-to-market initiatives depending on client needs.
TM One Executive Vice President Shanti Jusnita Johari said, “This partnership with SIRIM Academy reaffirms TM One’s position as a trusted digital enabler for enterprises and government. By embedding training, consultation and certification into our secure digital infrastructure, we ensure compliance is not only achieved on paper but sustained in practice.”
SIRIM Academy Chief Executive Officer (Covering) Dr Mohd Bakri bin Jali said the collaboration will help raise Malaysia’s industry standards and certification readiness, noting that integrating SIRIM Academy’s expertise with TM One’s capabilities will support the adoption of ISMS, AI governance and digital trust practices.
The agreement marks another step in TM’s goal to become a Digital Powerhouse by 2030, focusing on building secure and compliant digital solutions for Malaysia’s public and private sectors.
