Nvidia’s CEO Pushes TSMC For More Chips As AI Demand Surges

Nvidia Corp CEO Jensen Huang has called on Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co (TSMC) to ramp up chip production to keep pace with the relentless demand for artificial intelligence (AI) processors, Bloomberg reported.

“The business is very strong; it’s growing month by month, stronger and stronger,” Huang said. He noted that Nvidia’s key memory suppliers — SK Hynix, Samsung Electronics and Micron Technology — have all expanded capacity to meet the company’s needs.

TSMC CEO CC Wei confirmed Huang’s request for more wafers, saying the chip giant expects record-breaking sales again this year as global AI adoption accelerates.

The remarks come despite a turbulent week for megacap tech stocks, with investors turning cautious after reports of OpenAI’s funding concerns and bearish bets on Nvidia by Michael Burry’s Scion Asset Management. Still, Nvidia retains its crown as the world’s most valuable company, edging out Apple and Microsoft.

As rivals such as Qualcomm step up competition in AI chips and scramble for limited TSMC capacity, Huang’s visit signals Nvidia’s determination to secure its supply chain and maintain its leadership in the fast-expanding AI market.
