Two deputy ministers were sworn in for a second term as senators before Dewan Negara President Datuk Awang Bemee Awang Ali Basah.
Deputy Minister of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Datuk Dr Fuziah Salleh and Deputy Minister of National Unity K Saraswathy previously took their oaths on Dec 10, 2022.
Their reappointments were made by the Yang di-Pertuan Agong Sultan Ibrahim under Article 45(1)(b) of the Federal Constitution, effective until Dec 9, 2028, in line with Articles 45(3) and 45(3A).
Awang Bemee congratulated both senators, saying: “Wishing you all the best in carrying out your duties”.
