Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has called on newly appointed Cabinet members to work with discipline, humility and urgency to ensure the swift execution of government policies.
Anwar said the Cabinet must move beyond rhetoric and be capable of translating the people’s aspirations into policies that are effective and felt on the ground, stressing that delays and excuses will not be tolerated.
“This is a Cabinet entrusted with a great mandate, requiring swift action, bold decisions and the ability to translate the will of the people into functioning policies,” he said in a Facebook post today.
The Prime Minister shared photos from the first Cabinet meeting following the Cabinet reshuffle, which involved 28 ministers and deputy ministers, including portfolio changes and new appointments, aimed at strengthening administrative efficiency.
Anwar, who is also Minister of Finance, said ministers are expected to serve with integrity and deliver results promptly to the rakyat.
The Cabinet meeting was held after the swearing-in ceremony at Istana Negara, marking the first meeting of the reshuffled Cabinet.
